Little Tykes Daycare: Caring for Your Child's Development
First and foremost we wish to thank you for choosing Little Tykes Daycare for your childcare needs. We offer a loving, safe and educational environment for your child to grow, learn, and play. We strive to offer a program that will enrich your child's development and important values such as: manner, caring, sharing, patience, responsibility as well as communication and teamwork. Our philosophy is that children learn best through play and will implement these values throughout our day. Our ultimate goal, offer your family the quality childcare experience children deserve.
MEET OUR OWNER
Crystal Vandeventer
OWNER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF LITTLE TYKES DAYCARE
Crystal started Little Tykes Daycare 21 years ago with the necessity of caring for her 8 children all while creating a place to aid the local communities need for childcare. She is a major supporter with the communities athletics and various clubs through donations and coaching. She works part-time as a CNA with children for Maine Health, and currently enrolled as a full-time student at CMCC to further her education. In her downtime, she plays on summer softball leauges with her family and friends, enjoys walking, and spending quality time with her husband Mike, and her children.

Infant Care
Welcome to our Infancy Care! We are thrilled to offer a safe and nurturing environment for little ones from 6 weeks to 1 year old. Our thoughtfully designed space encourages age-appropriate toys, inviting areas to promote physical milestones such as sitting, crawling, walking, and the beginning of language development involving cooing, babbling, and simple sounds. We are dedicated to supporting growth and development through play, ensuring your baby flourishes during these invaluable early stages. You can count on us to provide your little one with love and care while you’re away – we look forward to welcoming them!
Toddler Care
Welcome to Toddler Program! Our nurturing environment is designed for children aged 1 to 2 and a half, providing them with a safe space to explore, learn, and grow. Our dedicated staff focuses on fostering social skills, creativity, and early learning through engaging activities tailored to each child's developmental stage. Join us in giving your little ones a head start on their educational journey!
Nursery Care
Welcome to our Nursery Care, where we provide care for children aged 2 and a half to 3 and a half. Our dedicated staff creates a safe and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and social interaction. We focus on age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development, ensuring each child feels valued and supported. We aide the child in navigating curiosity, working on their social skills, imagination, and prominent thinking process. Join us in fostering a love for learning in your little ones!
Pre-K 1 Care
Welcome to Pre-K 1 Program! We provide a nurturing and environment for children aged 3 to 4 years old, helping them develop essential skills through play and learning. Our dedicated staff is committed to fostering your child in well-prepared for the next steps in their educational journey. The introduction to the development of writing, humor, and problem solving, along with dressing themselves, singing along and stories. Join us in creating a joyful foundation for lifelong learning!
Pre-K 2 Care
Welcome to our Pre-K 2 Program. We proudly offer specialized care for children aged 4 to 5 years old, focusing on enhancing their learning as they prepare for school. Our program provides a nurturing environment where kids engage in deeper learning experiences, fostering their curiosity and creativity. Our Pre-K 2 Program promotes peer conversations to learn, sharing, friendships, learning subjects of science, math and writing, along with physical attributes or riding bikes, swinging, and structure climbing. Join us as we help your child thrive and develop essential skills for their future educational journey!
After School Care
Welcome to our After School Care! We provide an environment for children aged 4 to 12, ensuring they have fun and enriching experiences after their primary school day. Our staff is committed to fostering social interaction, making every after-school moment a cherished memory. Join us for a journey of furthering your child's care through their school days!
